India Shelters Iranian Ship IRIS Lavan in Kochi

Kochi: Just before the Iranian warship IRIS Dena was sunk by an American attack off the coast of Sri Lanka, India provided shelter to another naval ship, IRIS Lavan, off the coast of Kochi. The ship was brought to the Kochi coast on the 4th of this month. According to central government sources, all 183 sailors aboard the ship have been safely transferred to the naval base.

Due to a technical malfunction, Iran approached India on February 28 to seek permission for the ship to dock urgently. Subsequently, on March 1, the central government granted permission, and on March 4, the ship docked in Kochi.
