New Delhi: The controversy over the Haryana seat scam is intensifying. Delhi Police have filed a case against Congress leaders who are allegedly involved. The case was registered based on a complaint by Gaurav Kumar, the husband of Haryana Mahila Congress State General Secretary Suchitradevi.

Yesterday, Gaurav Kumar was apprehended by Delhi Police after came to attempt suicide in front of Rahul Gandhi's residence. Meanwhile, crucial details, including bank account statements, have emerged in the seat scam case. It has been revealed that KC Venugopal’s PA, Anas Ali, received money. Records show that 1 lakh rupees were transferred to Anas.

According to Gaurav Kumar’s complaint, Congress leaders, including Kodikkunnil Suresh and KC Venugopal, allegedly extorted 7 crore rupees in exchange for promising the Bawal assembly seat in Haryana. Gaurav Kumar has filed a complaint with Delhi Police, providing digital evidence that Congress leaders took money under the pretext of securing the seat.

WhatsApp chats between Gaurav and Kodikkunnil Suresh, along with bank account details, have also been revealed. Gaurav stated that Kodikkunnil Suresh had returned 15 lakh rupees and that another 1 crore 5 lakh rupees were still expected. He further claimed that the money was returned in the presence of MPs Satpal Brahmachari and Jai Prakash.

KC Venugopal allegedly received money through various accounts, including directly and via his PA, Anas. The complaint also states that 75 lakh rupees were handed over to Venugopal at his residence in Delhi. The funds were transferred to Venugopal’s account as well as those of his son and PA. It is also alleged that Priyanka Gandhi’s PA and the office and residence at 10 Janpath were involved in large-scale financial transactions.

Gaurav Kumar claims that when he asked for the money back, he was threatened with murder, and he has audio recordings as evidence. However, Congress leaders in Kerala have yet to respond to the issue. When asked about the allegations at a press conference in Pathanamthitta, VD Satheesan denied knowledge of the matter, calling it a lie and avoiding the issue. The Congress leadership’s refusal to either deny or call for an investigation, despite senior leaders being implicated, has sparked strong criticism.
