New CCTV Footage Reveals Crucial Moments Before Delhi Red Fort Blast; NIA Forms 10-Member SIT

New Delhi: More CCTV footages has emerged related to the Delhi blast. The recently surfaced video shows crucial moments near the traffic signal where the car exploded. In the footage, the car used by the attackers is seen arriving at the signal, followed by the massive blast. Additional footage from earlier days also shows the same car spotted in other parts of the city.
According to reports, there were plans to carry out major terror attacks in Faridabad and Delhi. Intelligence sources suggest that the attackers had also planned strikes near the Red Fort on Republic Day and in Delhi during Diwali. The explosion occurred on Monday evening near the Red Fort traffic signal, when the car suddenly exploded, setting nearby vehicles on fire. 12 people were killed in the attack.
To conduct a detailed investigation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has formed a ten-member special investigation team (SIT) led by NIA ADG Vijay Sakhare. The team includes an Inspector General (IG), two Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), three Superintendents of Police (SPs), and several DSP-rank officers.
The Union Home Ministry officially handed over the case to the NIA yesterday. The agency will now take over all case files related to the Jaish-e-Mohammed module from the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Delhi Police, and Haryana Police. Additionally, a high-level meeting between the NIA Director General and the Intelligence Bureau Chief is scheduled for today to discuss the investigation’s progress.
