New Delhi: The Delhi government has banned the filming of reels in schools. The government issued a circular to headmasters, stating that only academic activities will be allowed during school hours. The circular specifies that the ban applies not only to students but also to teachers and school staff.

Reports indicate that the move was prompted by concerns that filming such videos could interfere with academic activities and disrupt school discipline.

The Directorate of Education, in a circular issued on Wednesday, noted that short videos for entertainment were being made on school premises. It emphasized that such activities during class time should be strictly prohibited by school authorities. The circular also stresses that priority should be given to education. However, it does allow video filming for academic, cultural, and awareness purposes, but only under the supervision of teachers.
