New Delhi: An under-construction building collapsed in Delhi, with several people feared trapped beneath the debris. The incident occurred in Rohini Sector 16.


Four fire tenders rushed to the spot and rescue operations are underway. Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of people trapped or whether there have been any casualties.


The building reportedly collapsed at around 4 pm. It was a four-storey structure located opposite the MCD School in Rohini Sector 16. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the building was old and renovation or construction work was underway at the time of the collapse. Fire and rescue personnel, police, and disaster response teams are searching the debris and working to rescue anyone trapped.


Meanwhile, a building also collapsed in the Moshi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad following heavy rainfall. According to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Fire Department, 13 to 14 people are feared trapped under the rubble.


Earlier, on May 30, a four-storey building collapsed in Saidulajab, killing six people and injuring several others.
