CPI M Expresses Shock Over Karur Stampede

New Delhi: The Communist Party of India M expressed deep shock and sorrow over the tragic stampede at a political rally of the TVK Party in Karur, Tamil Nadu, which claimed 39 lives. The rally was led by the party’s founder and film actor Vijay.

In a statement from its Polit Bureau, CPI M described the incident as an unfortunate tragedy, pointing to chaos and mismanagement by the organisers and local authorities as contributing factors. The Party extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.
