New Delhi: Protest has erupted at JNU against the Vice Chancellor over her casteist statement. Left-wing organisations, including the SFI, have intensified their strike in protest of the VC's controversial remark. The students are demanding that the VC resign, retract her statement, and apologise. The student organisations pointed out that the remarks made by the VC during a public event at the university were insulting to Dalits and backward castes.

The students have alleged that the VC is attempting to promote caste discrimination within the campus, claiming that this is part of an RSS agenda. A massive protest was organised by left-wing organisations outside the VC's office. Hundreds of students participated in the protest meeting held at the university entrance. The student union has decided to continue its protest measures, including a non-cooperation movement and educational boycotts within the campus, until the VC steps down.

The SFI central committee issued a statement condemning the move, calling it an attempt to destroy the democratic nature of JNU and inject communal poison into the academic environment. Left-wing organisations have accused the Vice Chancellor of making such statements with the connivance of the central government. The students have demanded a high-level investigation into the matter.
