Bomb Threat at Hyderabad Airport Confirmed as Fake After Security Sweep

Hyderabad: A bomb threat was reported at Hyderabad International Airport. After a thorough check of the terminal, airport authorities confirmed that the threat was fake. An email warning of an explosion at the airport was received just before the arrival of a Gulf Air flight.
The message was sent to the airport’s customer support department on Wednesday night. A high alert was immediately issued after the threat email was received late Wednesday. Reports state that the message arrived minutes after the plane had taken off.
As per security protocol, the CISF and the bomb squad conducted strict and comprehensive checks across the airport premises. After completing the inspections, authorities declared the threat to be a hoax.
In recent months, Hyderabad Airport has received multiple threat messages, raising serious security concerns. Cyber police have begun efforts to trace the origin of the emails.
