4-Year-Old Severely Burned in Nagpur After Grandmother Pours Hot Water During Holi

Nagpur: Grandmother’s cruelty towards a four-year-old boy came to light after he spilled colored water during Holi celebrations. The incident occurred in Nagpur, Maharashtra, when the grandmother, who disliked children splashing colored water, poured hot water on her grandson.

The child, who sustained severe injuries, has been receiving treatment in a hospital. CCTV footage of the incident has been released. The footage shows the grandmother carrying a bucket of hot water along the road when the child accidentally splashed water near her. Angered, she poured the hot water onto him. The child can be seen crying in pain from the burns.

The victim, four-year-old Om Harish Wange, suffered severe burns below the waist and was admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur. According to reports, the child suffered burns covering 45 percent of his body. The grandmother involved has been identified as Sindhu Thackeray.
