Vigilance Raids GST Joint Commissioner’s Office, Residences Over Alleged Financial Irregularities

Kochi: The Vigilance Department conducted raids at the office and residences of GST Joint Commissioner Prajini Rajan in connection with alleged financial irregularities and possession of disproportionate assets. The raids were conducted at the GST Joint Commissioner’s office in Kochi and her residences.

Vigilance officials seized Rs 14 lakh in unaccounted cash and 788 US dollars during the searches.

The seized foreign currency is reportedly worth around Rs 75,000 in Indian currency. The searches were conducted at the GST Joint Commissioner’s office in Thevara and Prajini’s residences in Pachalam.

The raid concluded on Saturday night after lasting for around 13 hours. The Vigilance action followed a preliminary inquiry report alleging that she had amassed approximately Rs 2.75 crore in disproportionate assets.
