Kasaragod: A woman has filed a complaint against BJP state president K. Surendran and two Shiv Sena leaders, accusing them of fraud for failing to return a vehicle that was borrowed for Surendran's padyatra. The Hosanagara Police have registered a case against Shiv Sena state president Adv. Perurkkad Harikumar and Ernakulam district secretary Sudheergopi in connection with the matter.

The complaint was lodged by Geethu Rai, 42, the wife of K.K. Santosh Kumar, a resident of Kushal Nagar in Kanhangad. According to the complaint, on January 28, 2024, Santosh Kumar’s Tata Ace vehicle (KL 60 A 2863) was given for use to Surendran for his padyatra. However, the vehicle was not returned after use.

When Geethu attempted to retrieve the vehicle, she claims that the accused threatened her, even saying they would kill her if she continued asking for its return.
