Minister Veena George Criticizes Adoor Prakash, Labels UDF’s Stance on Assault Case Anti-Women

Pathanamthitta: Minister Veena George said that the statements made by UDF convener and MP Adoor Prakash clearly reveal the extremely anti-women stance of the UDF. She noted that this position has been evident through their actions in numerous incidents. The minister’s response came against Adoor Prakash’s remarks, in which he supported Dileep in the actress assault case and mocked the government’s decision to appeal.
Veena George added that these words reflect the extremely anti-women position of both the leader and the political party he represents. She emphasized that the brutal assault the survivor faced and the mental anguish she has endured over the years must be taken into account. The survivor’s courageous stance and determination after the attack have driven this fight forward, and the government has always stood by her, the minister said.
