Ninth Accused in Protest Over ED Raid at Pinarayi Vijayan's House Granted Bail

Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram District Sessions Court has granted bail to the ninth accused arrested in connection with the protest staged by CPI(M) workers following the Enforcement Directorate (ED) search at the residence of Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan.
The accused, identified as Harish Kumar, is a CPI(M) activist. The case is linked to protests that took place after ED officials conducted searches on May 27 at the Thiruvananthapuram residence of Pinarayi Vijayan as part of the investigation into the alleged Exalogic Solutions–CMRL financial transactions case.
The case was registered by the Museum Police based on a complaint filed by an ED assistant director. Police invoked multiple charges, including allegations of obstructing officials and attempted murder.
Police had registered cases against around 300 identifiable individuals and continued the investigation to trace additional accused persons connected to the incident. Several arrests had already been made in earlier phases of the probe.
