Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala's IT sector, which is continuously developing, has once again achieved international recognition. The renowned rating agency CRISIL has awarded the 'A Plus/Stable' rating to the Technoparks for the fifth consecutive year. The sustained growth of the Technoparks, backed by financial stability, has earned this recognition. The development policies of the Left government, combined with proactive interventions to protect public sector institutions and similar infrastructure development projects, have played a major role in this achievement.

By maintaining the high rating since 2021, Kerala's Technoparks have become the safest and most profitable IT hubs in the country. The rating agency particularly evaluated the transparent financial management and revenue potential of the parks. The high occupancy rates across the various phases of the Technoparks, as well as the presence of diverse leading companies, are expected to result in a 20% increase in revenue in the coming years. The occupancy rates in Phase 1 and Phase 3 stand at 97% and 100% respectively. Significant progress has also been made in other regions like Kollam.

With over 100 companies and around 80,000 employees working in these IT hubs, this sector has brought about a significant revolution in Kerala's employment market. Future growth prospects are expected through major projects like Technocity. The Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram also holds the distinction of being the first technology park to earn ISO certifications in quality management. Professional management approaches and the special government consideration in infrastructure development have elevated the Technoparks to a world-class level. Authorities aim to increase capacity further and strengthen the IT ecosystem in the coming years.
