SSLC and Plus One Examinations to Begin Tomorrow; Plus Two from Friday

Thiruvananthapuram: Lakhs of students are awaiting the SSLC and Higher Secondary examinations, which are set to begin this week. The SSLC and Higher Secondary First Year (Plus One) examinations will commence on March 5, while the Higher Secondary Second Year (Plus Two) examinations will begin on March 6, Friday.


Education Minister V. Sivankutty stated that all preparations for the examinations have been completed. A total of 4,17,497 students will appear for the SSLC examinations at 3,031 centres across Kerala.


In the Higher Secondary section, 4,11,025 students will appear for the Plus One examinations, while 4,52,437 students will write the Plus Two examinations.


Although examination preparations have been completed at centres in Lakshadweep and the Gulf region, the examinations in the Gulf region have been postponed in view of the current conflict there. However, the examinations in Lakshadweep and Kerala will proceed as scheduled. The SSLC and Plus One examinations will be held from March 5 to March 27, while the Plus Two examinations will take place from March 6 to March 28.


Question papers have been safely delivered and stored in strong rooms at treasuries and banks.


To conduct the examinations, nearly 26,000 teachers have been appointed as invigilators. The Minister clarified that evaluation camps will begin on April 7. The examination results are expected to be published in the third week of May, with an aim to announce the Plus Two results by May 22.
