BJP Leader R Sreelekha Supports Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru in Facebook Post, Withdraws Following Controversy

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader and Sasthamangalam councillor R Sreelekha came out in support of Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, who was arrested in the Sabarimala gold theft case on Friday, stirring controversy.

In a Facebook post, the former DGP said she had known Kandararu Rajeevaru for over 30 years, adding that he would never knowingly do anything to hurt Lord Ayyappa or violate temple traditions.

Sreelekha’s remarks quickly sparked intense discussion and debate on social media, drawing mixed reactions from devotees and the public. However, amid the backlash and growing controversy, she later withdrew the Facebook post.
