Thiruvananthapuram: CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby stated that it is crucial to spread facts to counter the hate campaigns attempting to divide Kerala. He was inaugurating the "Real Kerala Story" campaign and the Kerala Story website. In this context, where false stories are being fabricated and spread, the main goal of this campaign is to bring the truth to the people. Often, there is not much enthusiasm to share the truth. He also expressed that cinema, a great form of art, has been insulted through The Kerala Story. M.V. Nikesh Kumar also participated in the event.

The new campaign, titled Kerala Story, highlights Kerala's achievements. This initiative, which showcases the unique features and accomplishments of the state, has been launched in response to the film The Kerala Story, which spread false hate propaganda defaming Kerala.

The campaign aims to promote the unique characteristics of Malayali life through three main themes: progress, care, and unity. It will focus on infrastructure developments over the past ten years, welfare schemes such as welfare pensions, Life Mission, and the eradication of extreme poverty, all under the theme of welfare. The unity and secular nature of Kerala will also be discussed, with topics ranging from flood survival to protests against the Citizenship Bill.

The campaign will include data and details of over 1,200 projects implemented in the state through the KIIFB over the past decade, broken down by district. The goal of this initiative is to equip every Malayali with the facts necessary to confront false propaganda against Kerala.
