Kerala Black Out: Power Cut Strikes During Chief Minister V D Satheesan’s Speech

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister V D Satheesan's speech was interrupted by an unexpected power outage amid the continuing electricity restrictions in Keralam.

The incident occurred while the Chief Minister was addressing the Mission Samudra Maritime Conclave, organised by the Kerala Maritime Mission. A video of the interruption has since gone viral on social media.

The incident comes at a time when the state government is facing criticism over recurring power cuts across Keralam.

Meanwhile, the KSEB had earlier announced that partial power restrictions would continue today. According to KSEB, electricity demand yesterday increased by around 500 to 600 MW compared with previous days. The utility said power regulation had become unavoidable as the required quantity of electricity could not be procured through the power exchange.
