Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express to Be Launched on Saturday

Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ernakulam Junction–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express on Saturday. The event will take place online at 7 am, with the Prime Minister officially flagging off the new service.
According to a press release issued by Southern Railway, the newly introduced Ernakulam–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will be the third Vande Bharat train in Kerala, linking the state with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This addition brings the total number of Vande Bharat trains under the Southern Railway jurisdiction to 12.
The new service aims to provide faster and more seamless connectivity between Ernakulam, Kerala’s commercial capital, and Bengaluru, a major hub for business and technology. The train will pass through several key cities, including Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, and Salem, before reaching Krishnarajapuram and KSR Bengaluru.
According to the Railway Board, the KSR Bengaluru–Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express will depart Bengaluru at 5:10 AM, reaching Ernakulam Junction at 1:50 PM. The return journey will leave Ernakulam at 2:20 PM and arrive in Bengaluru at 11:00 PM.
This new service is expected to benefit a wide range of passengers, including IT professionals, businessmen, and students, by providing an efficient and comfortable travel option between the two cities.
