'You Are Never an Outsider Here, Kerala is as Much Yours as It is Ours' : CM Pinarayi Vijayan Thanks Kamal Haasan For His Support

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has thanked actor-politician Kamal Haasan for extending his wishes for the LDF government’s continuation in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.

In a Facebook post, Pinarayi Vijayan conveyed his warm regards, stating that Kerala belongs to Kamal Haasan as well, and that no one is a stranger in this land of secularism and brotherhood. He added that the government remains focused on public welfare and genuine development, and called for preserving the state’s progressive values collectively. “Kerala will surely prevail,” he added.

Kamal Haasan, in his earlier message, had wished CM Pinarayi Vijayan success in the elections and said he feels a deep emotional connection with Kerala. He noted that despite attempts by some to portray him as an outsider, he considers the state his own.

Kerala is set to go to polls on April 9, with results scheduled to be announced on May 4. Meanwhile, the ruling Left Democratic Front has already begun its campaign activities across the state.
