Kasaragod: CPI(M) Polit Bureau member and Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan has alleged that the UDF government in Keralam has become an instrument for implementing the RSS agenda in the state.

He was inaugurating a protest meeting organised by the CPI(M) Kasaragod district committee at Kanhangad against what the party described as the RSS's politics of violence and alleged temple-related corruption.

Pinarayi alleged that the UDF government began implementing the RSS agenda from the day it had the full rendition of Vande Mataram sung during the swearing-in ceremony of the Council of Ministers. He claimed that the same approach was reflected in the Governor's policy address, which did not contain any criticism of the Central government.

He further alleged that the Kerala government had itself urged the Centre to permit the inclusion of non-Muslims in the Waqf Board. Referring to the PM Shri scheme, Pinarayi said that despite a Union Minister stating there was no obstacle to the state withdrawing from the programme, the UDF government had chosen to continue with it.

The Opposition Leader also claimed that the UDF's association with the RSS was becoming increasingly evident with each passing day. He called upon all those committed to secular values to unite and oppose what he described as the government's growing alignment with the RSS.
