Davos: Minister P Rajeev has spoken about Kerala’s achievements in the introductory video of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which will be held in Davos, Switzerland, from the 19th to the 23rd.

Sharing the video, the minister said that during the previous WEF many had described Kerala as a model state for the world, and that expectations are even higher this time. He noted that initiatives such as the Invest Kerala Global Summit and the state’s strong performance in investment-friendly rankings would serve as key strengths for Kerala on this international stage.

An official high-level delegation led by Minister P Rajeev is attending the forum to seek global investment and cooperation in industrial ventures and to showcase Kerala’s investment-friendly environment at the global level. The delegation also includes Chief Secretary Dr. A Jayathilak, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) A P M Mohammed Hanish, and KSIDC Managing Director P Vishnuraj. Kerala’s industrial advancements will be showcased in Davos, with a focus on strengthening the brand image of “Responsible Investment, Responsible Industry,” the minister said.

Following Kerala’s participation in last year’s WEF, Bharat Biotech made an investment in the state. Efforts are also underway to attract large-scale investments through the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS). Kerala, which achieved significant success in the National Ease of Doing Business 2024, has been given a special space at the India Pavilion in Davos.

At the Invest Kerala Global Summit held in Kochi in February, the state received Expressions of Interest worth 1.80 lakh crore rupees from 449 companies. Construction has already begun on over 100 projects, including those by Dynimated (Italy) and Adani Logistics.
