Thiruvananthapuram: Minister P. Rajeev said that the Congress in Kerala is paving the way for the journey into the NJP era in the name of "Navayuga" (new era). He questioned why only the Kerala story is being highlighted and not the stories of Telangana, Karnataka, or Himachal Pradesh. He said, the Karnataka story is similar to Gujarat's story, and Telangana's story is similar to Uttar Pradesh's story.

He argued that although the BJP and Congress are two separate parties in name, the politics and ideologies they represent are the same. This type of politics, he added, is dangerous to the secular fabric of Kerala. He further stated that the opposition, which keeps chanting the slogan "Resign," does not even have the courage to bring a no-confidence motion against the government.

P. Rajeev also criticised the opposition's protests, calling them politically motivated, even when the High Court Division Bench confirmed that the investigation into the Sabarimala issue is proceeding in the right direction. He pointed out that remarks made by opposition member K. Babu in the Assembly were against the High Court's stance. The supervision of the investigation lies with the High Court Division Bench, which has clearly stated in its order not just in words that the investigation is flawless and heading in the right direction. It is the same investigation that has led to allegations of misconduct and accusations of arresting an innocent person. The government, he clarified, does not have any opinion on whether the person arrested in the case, or anyone else, is guilty or not. The investigation report is not presented to the government but is instead handed over to the court in a sealed envelope.
