Minor Fire at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital; Fire Extinguished by Fire Force

Thiruvananthapuram: A minor fire broke out at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital in the emergency department of the multi-speciality block. All patients and staff in the ICU have been evacuated. Hospital authorities stated that the fire is under control.
Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Superintendent, Dr. C. G. Jayachandran, said there is no need to worry about the situation. No patient has faced any difficulty. The situation has been assessed, and full cooperation has been ensured by the police, fire department, and hospital authorities. The superintendent clarified that all patients have been shifted from the ICU, and details of the fire will be announced after further inspection.
The fire department’s initial conclusion is that a short circuit caused the fire. They also confirmed that the fire has been completely extinguished.
