Pathanamthitta: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's allegation of 'loot' is unfounded, said CPI(M) central committee member T.M. Thomas Isaac. He stated that Kerala is number one in the implementation of various central schemes across the country. The Prime Minister is spreading such false claims to hide the blatant discrimination the central government shows towards Kerala. Isaac criticised Modi's move, stating that it is an attempt to divert attention from the truth that Modi is responsible for the country's economic crisis.

In several areas like national highway development, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, education, and health, Kerala has received awards from the central government for its excellence. Modi’s double standards are evident when, on one hand, the central government grants recognition, and on the other hand, makes baseless accusations of 'loot'. Kerala has set an example for the entire nation in implementing the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Numerous schools in Kerala received central awards through Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. Isaac questioned where was the 'loot' in this.

Regarding the war situation in Iran, Isaac criticised India’s foreign policy under Modi as weak. He asserted that Modi’s foreign policy is a complete failure. Isaac also pointed out the misuse of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) by the central government to threaten Christian churches. He described this as unconstitutional and authoritarian. Isaac further stated that while actions against illegal activities are justified, using the law as a political tool to violate the rights of religious minorities is unacceptable.

Isaac emphasised that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) consistently maintains a strong secular stance against communal forces.
