LDF Fully Prepared for Local Body Polls: T. P. Ramakrishnan

Thiruvananthapuram: The Left Democratic Front (LDF) is fully prepared for the upcoming local body elections, said convenor T. P. Ramakrishnan. He stated that the LDF would highlight the major achievements of the state government and emphasized that the front must return to power to continue shaping Kerala’s future.

Ramakrishnan clarified that there are no disputes within the LDF regarding seat allocation, adding that individuals from other parties are welcome to join if they accept the LDF’s policies and principles. “There are no secret arrangements with anyone. The LDF maintains ties only with secular parties and will not associate with communal forces,” he said.

He pointed out that the Welfare Party and the SDPI are aligned with the UDF, underscoring that the LDF remains committed to secular and progressive politics.

On the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, Ramakrishnan said that the CPI(M)’s position remains unchanged, and that all parties except the BJP share a similar stance. “It is too early to say whether the SIR will have any impact on this election,” he added.
