New Delhi: The All-India photo exhibition “Landscape Kerala,” organized by the Kerala Tourism Department to showcase the state’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage, will begin in New Delhi on the 20th. The exhibition, which will travel across 10 major cities in India over two and a half months, will open at the Travancore Palace Art Gallery in New Delhi at 4.30 pm, inaugurated by Kerala Tourism Minister P A Mohammed Riyas.

The exhibition features 100 photographs by 10 prominent travel and media photographers from across the country. In New Delhi, the exhibition will run for three days before moving to other cities, concluding in Surat on March 31.

The photographs aim to highlight Kerala not only as a premier tourism destination but also its landscapes, culture, and unique features. Participating photographers spent five days traveling across Kerala, capturing images that reflect the state’s nature, wildlife, heritage, rural and coastal life, architecture, festivals, and spirituality.

The exhibition is curated by renowned art critic Uma Nair, with wildlife photographer Balan Madhavan serving as the photography director. Minister Riyas said the exhibition underlines Kerala’s cultural diversity and vibrancy and offers visitors an understanding of the state’s unique tourism attractions, including forests, hills, backwaters, temples, and festivals.

In addition to highlighting Kerala as a sustainable tourism destination attracting increasing numbers of visitors, the exhibition draws attention to lesser-known attractions, locations, and experiences. Tourism Secretary K Biju said the exhibition marks the beginning of a new promotional initiative for Kerala, giving visitors a comprehensive insight into the state’s diverse features.

The photographers visited Kerala in November and December last year. Featured works include photographs by Aishwarya Sridhar, Amit Pasrich, H. Satish, Kauthey Singh, Manoj Arora, Natash Karthar Hemrajani, Saibal Das, Saurabh Chatterjee, Shivang Mehta, and Umesh Gogna.

Following New Delhi, the exhibition will travel to: Vadodara: January 27–29, Ahmedabad: February 3–5, Mumbai: February 12–14, Pune: February 18–20, Bengaluru: February 27–March 1, Chennai: March 4–7, Hyderabad: March 12–14, Kolkata: March 22–24 and Surat: March 29–31.
