KSEB Meter Readers' Indefinite Strike Enters Seventh Day

Thiruvananthapuram: The indefinite strike by contract KSEB meter readers in the state continues. Even after the strike entered its seventh day, the government has not addressed the workers' demands, including a salary hike. KSEB has instructed the employees to return the billing machines in their possession.
The strike by meter readers is likely to affect not only employees but also consumers. As bill distribution has been disrupted due to the strike, KSEB is preparing to issue bills based on average consumption.
As a result, consumers may have to pay higher amounts in their electricity bills.
