Kozhikode: In a significant drug seizure, police on Monday arrested two men and recovered 250 grams of MDMA and 99 LSD stamps in the city.
The arrested individuals, Rafan and Mohammad Sahad, are residents of Kozhikode, officials said.
According to police, the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) intercepted the duo near the Kozhikode bus station after they arrived from Bengaluru.
During a search of their luggage, officers examined a water heater the pair were carrying. On dismantling it, police discovered 250 grams of MDMA and 99 LSD stamps concealed inside.
Investigators said the accused were part of a peddling network that procured narcotic substances from other states at lower prices and sold them at higher rates in Kerala.
The two were handed over to the Kozhikode Kasaba police, who registered a case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and formally arrested them.
