CM Inaugurates New Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Complex in Muttathara, Wayanad Unit Building

Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister inaugurated the state-of-the-art office complex of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau in Muttathara and the District Vigilance Unit building in Sultan Bathery, Kuppadi, Wayanad. The Chief Minister performed the inauguration ceremony online at the function held in Muttathara. He said that the new buildings have been made a reality as part of the modernization of the Vigilance Department with the aim of a corruption-free Kerala.
The Vigilance Complex in Muttathara aims to increase administrative coordination and efficiency by bringing the vigilance offices that were operating on rent in various parts of the city of Thiruvananthapuram under one roof. With this, the Special Investigation Unit-I in Poojappura, Special Investigation Unit-II in Kunchalumoot, the South Zone Police Supervisor's Office in Murinjapalam, the Special Cell in Adarsh Nagar, the District Vigilance Unit in Maruthankuzhi and two offices of Legal Advisors in Vanchiyoor will now function in this building. The Chief Minister added that this will help ensure transparency and speed in the activities of Vigilance.
Education and Employment Minister V Sivankutty presided over the function held at Muttathara, Thiruvananthapuram. State Police Chief Rawada Azad Chandrasekhar IPS welcomed the function. Vigilance Director Manoj Abraham IPS, Jail Chief Balram Kumar Upadhyay IPS, Crime Branch ADGP H Venkatesh IPS, Councilor Sajina Teacher, PWD Buildings Chief Engineer S Deepu, Chief Architect V S Girish, and Habitat Chairman Dr G Shankar were the chief guests. ADGP S Sreejith IPS, Police Headquarters, proposed the vote of thanks.
Sultan Bathery Municipality Chairperson Razina Abdul Khader presided over the inauguration of the Wayanad District Unit Building. Vigilance Northern Range SP PM Pradeep welcomed the gathering. Sultan Bathery Municipality Vice Chairman MG Indrajith, Ward Councilor CM Anil, and PWD Executive Engineer N Sreejith were the chief guests. Wayanad Unit DySP Shaji Varghese proposed the vote of thanks.
