Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has ordered a detailed investigation into errors that occurred during the evaluation of answer scripts for the recruitment to the post of Chief, Kerala State Planning Board (Category No. 249/2022 – Industry and Infrastructure Division). The Commission has entrusted its Vigilance and Internal Security Officer (V&ISO) with conducting the inquiry.

Earlier, the PSC had assigned its Internal Vigilance Officer to examine a technical error that occurred during the on-screen marking (OSM) process for the first paper of the examination. The Internal Vigilance Officer conducted a preliminary inquiry and submitted a report to the Commission.

According to the preliminary findings, several questions in the Economics section of the first paper, which were supposed to be evaluated, were omitted during the assessment process. A total of 228 answer scripts were to be evaluated. The inquiry found that Question No. 9 in 177 answer scripts, as well as Questions 10 to 18 in all 228 answer scripts, were neither assigned to subject experts for evaluation nor assessed.

Based on these findings, the PSC has directed the Vigilance and Internal Security Officer to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter. The Commission has also instructed the officer to submit an interim report within two weeks.
