Alappuzha: Minister Saji Cherian said that the police force has improved a lot in ten years and that the society's perception of the police has changed a lot. Starting from the floods and Covid, the police's work as frontline soldiers in various problems faced by Kerala has increased its popularity. Today, anyone can enter police stations at any time and say there problems without any fear.

He also said that the government's goal is to transform the police force into a public service center. "Kerala is the state with the best law and order in India. The police have improved to the point where the opposition does not have the opportunity to present an emergency resolution against the police in the assembly sessions," he said. He also stated that the government is providing support to the police. He was inaugurating the general meeting of the Kerala Police Officers Association's district conference in Alappuzha.
