Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government, through NORKA, has launched the ‘NAME’ (NORKA Assisted and Mobilized Employment) scheme, designed to provide employment opportunities in local enterprises for returning Non-Resident Keralites. The web portal for employer registration under the scheme is now operational, allowing approved industrial and commercial establishments in the state to register online.

Under the scheme, employers can hire candidates listed in the NORKA Roots database. Those who recruit through NAME will be eligible for a wage subsidy for up to 100 working days per year. The subsidy covers 50% of the daily wage or up to a maximum of 400 rupees per day, whichever is lower. Each organization can avail the subsidy for a maximum of 50 employees. Employers can register through the portal at https://name.norkaroots.kerala.gov.in

Online application links for the vacancies posted by employers will also be published on the website. Cooperative societies, private and public limited companies, LLPs with Udyam registration, ESI and EPF registered establishments, as well as approved startups, are eligible to participate.

For more information or assistance with registration, employers can visit the website or contact 0471-2770523.
