Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Health Department has launched a new official web portal aimed at providing comprehensive and authentic information on the state’s health sector. Health Minister Veena George formally inaugurated the portal, which can be accessed at health.kerala.gov.in. The platform has been developed by C-DIT, a Kerala government institution.
The portal seeks to showcase Kerala’s achievements in the health sector, ongoing initiatives, public health data, and awareness campaigns for citizens, researchers, and stakeholders across the world. It brings together the websites of 10 departments and 30 institutions functioning under the Health Department, offering a single, integrated platform for verified information, official announcements, and departmental activities.
Minister Veena George said the portal would significantly enhance public access to credible updates, policy-related information, and services of the Health Department, making it a valuable resource for citizens.
The portal features a dynamic dashboard that presents graphs and tables on demographic transitions and key health indicators in the state. It also provides access to important laws, guidelines, and government orders related to public health. In addition, a range of health awareness materials, including posters and videos, are available to support public education and outreach initiatives.
