Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Applauds Fire Force for Sky Dining Rescue

Idukki (Kerala): Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said it is reassuring that those stranded on the sky dining hydraulic lift platform at Pallivasal in Idukki have been safely brought down.

A family, including two children, and an employee of the sky dining facility were trapped on the platform. Fire and rescue personnel successfully carried out the operation by climbing the 125-foot-high platform using safety harnesses and ropes.

The rescue mission was led by teams from the Adimali, Munnar, and Idukki fire stations. The personnel from Munnar fire station involved in the operation were specially commended for their efforts.

The Chief Minister congratulated the fire force for successfully completing the extremely challenging rescue operation, which lasted several hours.
