Developed jointly by the Swachh Mission under the Malinyamukta Navakerala (Clean Kerala) initiative and Frugal Scientific Company, the app was inaugurated by Minister MB Rajesh at Mascot Hotel. Planning Board member Giju P Alex chaired the event.

The ‘Clue’ app allows users to verify toilet availability, view parking facilities, and access washrooms in public spaces as well as in restaurants and hotels. Officials noted that the app will be particularly useful for women and children during long journeys.

The launch was attended by TV Anupama, Special Secretary of Local Self Government Department; Jerome George, Principal Director; UV Jose, Executive Director of the Swachh Mission; Arumugam Kalimuthu, Executive Director of WASH Institute; KG Sandeep, Chief Engineer, Local Self Government Department; and TM Muhammad Jaa, Director, Swachh Mission.
