Minister V Sivankutty on State Budget: Strong Support for Education and Students

Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the announcements in the state budget have been welcomed by the public with applause. He emphasized that the budget paves the way for revolutionary changes in the education sector. The government is committed to ensuring that modern technology reaches all students, and with the implementation of the budget proposals, the public education system in the state will gain greater strength, the minister added.

The student insurance scheme was already under consideration by the government. Kerala has revamped and implemented such schemes at the state level. The government will bear the full cost of this insurance, and the minister assured that no amount will be collected from students or their parents.

Beyond education, the minister noted that the budget also provides strong support for workers, and added that the Nemom constituency has received better attention in this budget.
