Jayaram Appears Before ED In Sabarimala Gold Case; Questioning Continues

Kochi: Actor Jayaram appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kochi on Tuesday in connection with the ongoing probe into financial transactions linked to the Sabarimala gold case. The questioning was continuing at the time of filing this report.

ED officials are examining his alleged links with the main accused, Unnikrishnan Potti, and certain financial dealings that have come under scrutiny. The agency is probing suspected money laundering in connection with the Sabarimala gold case.

Before entering the ED office, Jayaram told reporters, “Will Lord Ayyappa spare those who have committed wrongdoing? Let those who are involved be caught. The truth must come out.”

According to sources, the ED is tracing the money trail to determine whether unaccounted funds were routed through transactions connected to the case. The agency is also seeking clarification on reports that gold bars linked to the case were taken to Jayaram’s residence in Chennai for a pooja.

Further summons are likely to be issued as the investigation progresses.
