Jamaat-e-Islami Leader Appointed to General Education Minister N Shamsudheen's Staff

Thiruvananthapuram: Jamaat-e-Islami leader and former SIO Malappuram district president K K Mohammed Ashraf has been appointed to the staff of General Education Minister N Shamsudheen. Ashraf has been appointed as an office attendant. The General Administration Department issued an order regarding the appointment on August 6.
Ashraf is currently a state committee member of the Welfare Party and had also served as the state secretary of the Fraternity Movement.
Minister N Shamsudheen said Ashraf was appointed because he was considered suitable for the post. The appointment comes at a time when Youth League and MSF leaders have been publicly voicing their dissatisfaction over the lack of representation in the minister's staff.
Earlier, party workers had criticised the alleged neglect by sharing on social media photographs of MSF leaders, including a state leader who works as a Swiggy delivery executive. A Youth League district working committee meeting held in Malappuram also witnessed strong criticism of League ministers.
