International Space Station to Be Visible on Friday Evening in Kerala

Current members aboard the ISS
Thriuvananthapuram: The International Space Station (ISS) will be visible from Kerala this evening at 6.25 pm. The station will rise from the north-west and, about six minutes later, set into the south-east part of the sky. With a maximum altitude of roughly 40° above the horizon, according to reports, the ISS should be easy to spot if skies are clear.
There will be other brief sighting opportunities over the next few days, but as per informations, will not reach the same altitude as tonight’s pass. Observers are also likely to get a good view on the morning of December 11, when the ISS is expected to reach an altitude of about 58° at 05.19 — offering an especially favourable sighting.
Conditions such as local weather and obstructions (buildings, trees) will affect visibility. Currently, there are seven people aboard the ISS.
