Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts are expected to receive isolated heavy showers over the next three hours, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned. Light rain is likely in these districts, while other parts of the state may also experience isolated heavy showers, despite no official warnings.

The IMD issued the update at 4 PM on Wednesday, forecasting intermittent rainfall in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam in the coming hours.

A yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta districts for today, indicating a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall. Heavy rain is defined as precipitation ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within 24 hours.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with local weather alerts.
