Final Voters’ List to Be Published on 21st; Hearing Process Nears Completion

Thiruvananthapuram: The final voters list ahead of the Legislative Assembly election will be released on the 21st of this month. Chief Electoral Officer Ratan U. Kelkar announced that the hearing process for all those who were issued notices in the 62 Assembly constituencies across the state, as part of the voter list revision, is being completed.

Strict instructions have been issued to ensure that no eligible person is left out of the list. Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram districts are leading in completing the hearing procedures quickly.

In both districts, hearings have been completed in 14 constituencies. The hearing process has also been completed in 10 constituencies in Palakkad and 9 constituencies in Alappuzha. The hearings, which began on December 23, will be completed by the 14th of this month.

The Election Commission is in the final phase of comprehensively revising the state’s voters’ list. The list to be published on the 21st will include the final number of voters for the upcoming Assembly election.
