Thiruvananthapuram: After being acquitted in the actress attack case, actor Dileep criticised Kerala police accusing them of creating a false story to frame him. While addressing the media, after hearing the verdict on the high profile case, Dileep took a hit at the investigative team.

"The police cooked up a false story and used the other accused in the case to frame him. They used some media to spread rumours about me. All those stories has crumbled in the court today. The real conspiracy was to frame me and ruin my life, my career," said Dileep.

A visibly relieved Dileep expressed his gratitude to his friends and families who stood by him during this past nie years. "I want to thank my family, my friends, and my team of lawyers who stood by me and fought for me. I am grateful to all those who supported me," he added.

He also slammed his ex-wife and actress Manju warrier, stating that her comment about criminal conspiracy behind the incident started "conspiracy" to frame him.

While accusing the police of conspiracy, the actor refused to make any further statements, when a question was posed regarding the conspiracy.

Accused 1 to 6 Pulsar Suni, Martin Antony, B manikantan, VP Vijeesh, H Salim (Vadival Salim), Pradeep were all found guilty by the court. They were charged with defamation, conspiracy, humiliation of women, unlawful confinement, use of force, destruction of evidence, obscene filming and dissemination of indecent material.

The court has found that the first six accused were directly involved with the assault. Meanwhile, Dileep was acquitted as the preosecution couldn't prove the actor's involvement in the conspiracy.
