Defamatory Campaign Against K.J. Shine: 'Kondotti Abu' Arrested

Kochi: Yasar Abu, the owner of the Facebook account "Kondotti Abu," who had launched a defamatory campaign against CPIM leader KJ Shine, has been arrested.

A lookout notice had been issued for Yasar, who was abroad. He was taken into custody when he arrived at Nedumbassery Airport last night. Yasar is the third accused in the case. Earlier, K.M. Shahjahan and local Congress leader C.K. Gopalakrishnan were arrested in connection with the case.

Yasar Edappal had been arrested and released on bail by the police in 2021 following a complaint by K.T. Jaleel for making defamatory posts on social media.
