Cuban Delegation Meets CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Explores Cooperation with Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: A special delegation from Cuba called on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram on the sidelines of the Vision 2031 International Conference, held from February 15 to 17.
The delegation included Aimee Alejandra Diaz Negrin, Foreign Relations Advisor to the Provisional Government of Havana; Cesar Hernandez Gonzalez, Development Projects Observer; and Guadalupe Fromenta Gomez, a member of the Cuban Embassy. The visiting representatives held detailed discussions with the Chief Minister during their meeting.
The Cuban delegation expressed their happiness at visiting Kerala and conveyed their interest in strengthening cooperation with the state across various sectors. The Kerala government, in turn, expressed its willingness to collaborate with Cuba in areas such as agriculture, biotechnology research, and cancer treatment.
Planning Board Chairperson Prof. VK Ramachandran briefed the delegation on Kerala’s developmental progress over the past decade. Members of the State Planning Board participated in the discussions held at the Chief Minister’s Office.
