CPI(M) Extended State Committee Meet to Hold Detailed Discussions, Says MV Govindan

Kozhikode: CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan said detailed discussions will be held at the party’s three-day extended state committee meeting.

The meeting will be inaugurated by General Secretary M A Baby at 10 am on Sunday at the AKG Auditorium. A total of 307 delegates, including state committee members, district secretariat members and elected office-bearers of the party’s class and mass organisations, will participate.

The meeting will hold discussions and take decisions aimed at providing a clear direction and greater clarity to the CPI(M)’s new initiatives and activities. Action plans will also be formulated to overcome the party’s defeat in the Assembly elections and expand its influence among the people.

A rally attended by one lakh people will be held on Tuesday to mark the conclusion of the meeting. The rally will begin at 4 pm at freedom square on Kozhikode Beach. General Secretary M A Baby, Politburo members Pinarayi Vijayan and A Vijayaraghavan, and state secretary M V Govindan will address the rally.
