Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress high command has called a KPCC meeting to resolve differences after UDF convenor Adoor Prakash publicly criticised V D Satheesan. Following the high command's directive, the meeting has been scheduled for October 13.

According to rports, a proposal for a party-government coordination committee will be put forward at the KPCC meeting. A meeting of KPCC office-bearers will also be held in the afternoon.

A few days ago, UDF convenor Adoor Prakash publicly expressed dissatisfaction with Chief Minister V D Satheesan, calling for a change in his style of functioning and greater consultation before taking decisions.

He had criticised the government's appointment of members to boards and corporations without consulting the UDF. Prakash said it was unfortunate that decisions were being taken without informing the front. He also said several matters in the state were being handled without consulting him as the UDF convenor. He strongly criticised the UDF government for failing to intervene effectively in the power crisis.

Adoor Prakash had also demanded that the Chief Minister explain the facts regarding air travel to the public. He said Satheesan should admit it if any mistake had been made and that he was responsible for doing so.

Following this, he submitted a list of complaints to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and the high command, raising these issues.
