Central University of Kerala VC Attends RSS Event as Chief Guest, Sparks Concern

Kasaragod: The Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Kerala at Periye, Dr Siddu P Algur, attended an RSS event as chief guest, held to mark the organisation's centenary. The event was organised at Kanhangad and was attended by RSS leaders at the district and state levels, along with RSS leaders from Mangaluru.

This comes after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had earlier convened a programme in Thiruvananthapuram attended by the Vice Chancellors of Kerala University, MG University and the University of Malayalam. The VCs' participation in RSS events comes even as concerns have been growing over attempts to impose Sangh Parivar agendas within universities.
