Assembly Election Nominations Closed: Final Candidate List on Thursday

Thiruvananthapuram: The filing of nomination papers for the assembly elections has been completed. The deadline for submitting nominations was 3:00 PM on Monday. A total of 1,269 applications have been filed so far. Some individuals have filed two or three nominations each, which accounts for the discrepancies between the number of candidates and the names on the ballot. A detailed verification will take place on Wednesday.

The final list of candidates will be published after the deadline for withdrawal of nominations, which is 3:00 PM on the 26th. The affidavits and details submitted by the candidates can be viewed on the notice boards of the Returning Officer and on the official website of the Central Election Commission (affidavit.eci.gov.in). The scrutiny of nomination papers will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday.
