BJP Govt Focused on Spreading Communalism, Says Aishe Ghosh; Slams Education System Under BJP

Thrissur: SFI All India Joint Secretary Aishe Ghosh said the BJP government is only trying to implement communalism within the country. She said India currently does not have a transparent examination system for students or a situation where job seekers can secure employment. Ghosh was speaking at the concluding public meeting of the DYFI state conference in Thrissur.
The BJP has been implementing anti-people and anti-public welfare agendas since the very next day it came to power. When Narendra Modi came to power in 2015, the promises included good days for the country’s youth and development. Another promise was to protect girls and ensure their education. However, what has been witnessed over the past 12 years are anti-people, anti-student and anti-youth measures by the RSS.
Funding for the education sector is being cut on a large scale. Government schools in BJP-ruled states are being widely shut down due to financial constraints. The situation is no different in other educational institutions. The highest unemployment rate since India gained independence has existed after the BJP came to power in 2014. Many people are struggling to survive without employment in the country. Numerous contract jobs have been introduced since the BJP government came to power.
The recent protests at Jantar Mantar have shown how students in the country responded to the BJP government's measures aimed at destroying their future. The DYFI and SFI have always shown the country how organised struggles and protests can be conducted. The protest proved that if students organise strongly, they can bring down even the country's Education Minister by making the government take full responsibility within 37 days. This will not end here. If the government continues to pursue anti-people policies, the entire Union Cabinet will eventually be forced to resign, she said.
